A native of the Province of Quebec, Canada, Simon has been engaged with the Orchester Symphonique de Bienne since the 2004/2005 season and also acts as a substitute for the Orchester Symphonique de Milan Giuseppe Verdi. He has been heard in Switzerland with the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and in Canada with the Orchesters Symphoniques de la Montérégie and Ville Mont-Royal.

He was a full professor of tuba, euphonium and chamber music classes at Collège Notre-Dame de Montréal from 1996 until 2002.

It was first at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal, in the class of Mr. Alain Cazes, that he acquired the basics of his musical learning and obtained the diplomas of Superior Studies I and II in tuba. During the summers of 1998 to 2003, he played with the Pierre Monteux School Orchestra, in the United States.

In the fall of 2002, he enrolled at the Lausanne Conservatory to perfect his skills with Mr. Roger Bobo and obtained the Concert Diploma in the spring of 2005. In addition, he was able to benefit from the advice of Messrs. Rex Martin, Anne Jelle Visser and Sérgio Carolino during Master Classes.
