Passionate about singing from an early age, Lise sang in choirs, where she was already noticed for her powerful voice and charismatic presence. She dreamed of making a career of it, but the instability of the profession worried her parents, so she put her ambitions on hold.
At the age of 28, encouraged by her partner and accomplice Mario Masse, she decided to study singing in order to exploit her full potential. In 2004, she took part in her 1st session at the Camp musical des Laurentides, where, from the very first days, everyone was impressed by her powerful voice, stage presence and warm personality. Her voice teacher, Gabrielle Lavigne, encouraged her to take part in the "Apéro à l'Opéra" competition on ARTV as part of the 30th anniversary of the Opéra de Montréal. She was one of the 3 finalists out of 179 participants!
It was the start of a wonderful adventure in which she multiplied her successes: concerts, recitals, album recordings and even a recital at New York's famous Carnegie Hall in 2013.
The Camp musical would like to thank Mario Masse, who donated Lise's music library, 350 copies of her CD album and a donation to the Foundation for student grants in his memory.
