Uliana Drugova has performed as a soloist with the Laval Symphony Orchestra (2009), Ensemble Arkea (2011, 2014), and the Orchestre des Grands Ballets Canadiens (2022). A founding member of the Voxpopuli Quartet, Trio de l’Île, and the Drugova-Broekaert Duo, she leads an active career as both a musician and pedagogue.

Her schedule is filled with numerous chamber music performances across Quebec and abroad. In Quebec, the Drugova-Broekaert Duo highlights the contributions of women composers through their concert “Autour de Lili Boulanger.” Both locally and internationally, the Voxpopuli Quartet presents thematic concert-conferences. The first album by Trio de l’Île, Babadjanian, Chebotaryan et Piazzolla: Trios avec piano, was released in 2020 under Divine Art Records and is distributed globally by Naxos.

In the fall of 2022, Uliana performed Igor Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto five times as part of a creation by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, choreographed by Kiara Flavin and conducted by Dina Gilbert. Since 2012, she has held a position in the first violin section of the Trois-Rivières Symphony Orchestra, where she has occasionally served as guest concertmaster.

Supported by the Fonds Québécois de la Recherche sur la Société et la Culture, her doctoral research on violin pedagogy took her to Paris for a research internship at the Bibliothèque Nationale de France. She has also presented at international conferences, notably in La Spezia, Italy.

Holding a Doctorate in Violin Performance from the Université de Montréal, Uliana studied under Professor Claude Richard and taught violin there as a lecturer for twelve years. Since 2012, she has been a violin and chamber music professor as well as the coordinator of the Enriched Program of Violin at the college level of the École de Musique Vincent d’Indy. She is frequently invited to give masterclasses at various institutions and serves as a juror at numerous festivals and competitions. In 2021, she judged 250 performances in the final round of the Canada Music Competition.
