Montreal cellist Lou Dunand-Vincent studied in Alberta at the Mount Royal Conservatory for the Advanced Performance Program in conjunction with the University of Calgary, where she obtained her Master's degree in performance under the tutelage of Johanne Perron and John Kadz. During her apprenticeship, Lou has had the opportunity to participate in numerous master classes with renowned cellists such as Phillip Muller, Stefan Kropfitsch, Frans Helmerson, Laurence Lesser, Colin Carr, Andres Diaz and many others. A recipient of music and academic awards and scholarships (Alberta Graduate Scholarship 2017, Ken Taylor Fellowship 2016, Stephanson Cooke Scholarship 2015-2016 and 2014-2015, Queen Elizabeth II scholarship 2015, etc.), Lou also has a strong background in chamber and orchestral music. Since returning to Quebec, Lou now teaches at Joseph-François-Perrault High School, Pierre-Laporte High School, École des Petits Musiciens, as well as at her private studio. She also continues to perform with the Duo Córdoba, which she co-founded, and various orchestras and ensembles in Quebec as a freelance cellist. In addition to classical music, Lou is very active in the field of video game music. She has been a member of the Video Game Orchestra since 2017 and performed with the band Capcom Live! during their appearance at Otakuthon 2018. Following a first tour in Quebec in 2021, she recorded the album "Trio of the Goddesses" with the Laurence Manning Trio, which features arrangements from the world of Zelda games. In 2022, she performs again with the Laurence Manning Trio for a new tour entitled "Musique de la nuit" which features arrangements from the Castlevania franchise.
